I could want to ask to be a part of the dev team....but i dont have any skills outside of what i can come up with. I can bring alot of ideas to the table but not much else. :(

to add about capital ships. they will not cost CP. but you are limited to using 1 at a time.

I already knew about the 1 at a time I was just concerned that I would be discouraged from using it due to CP cost or something.

I would but I'm starting to run out of suggestions I have had stockpiled over a few years (save that big one I really want to keep to myself), also I'm extremely busy with school right now, I don't have much time to ponder and think about these things. Still expect to see more suggestions, just less regularly and in small quantities, it would probably help if I was an infiltrator but I can deal with just basing it off of the single lets play video that comes out every 1 to 3 weeks after the previous with only 3 episodes so far. In other words GIVE ME INFILTRATOR ACCESS!!! (just kidding) But seriously it probably would help bringing out ideas, my greatest ideas come to me either when I am bored out of my mind with a note book and pencil or when I am playing a game.

Still, I won't have much time to work on ideas, I have school to go to, might come up with something during spring, though that is when Titan Fall comes out.

There is one thing that´s bothering me about the spying system you propose V, the ability of spies to pass through the fortress shield. I just have the feeling, that everyone needs a completely safe haven to rest, plan their comeback after getting empire-wiped and such.

Which brings me to the problem of Fortress Shields as a whole. Why two of them? Since, for instance, CP is not based on number of planets you own, the only advantage of two "invulnerable" planets is resource and factory production rate. Also, in the livestream it was mentioned, by Nick I believe, that the second FS could be used to shield a captured alien planet, thus making it an endless source of whatever you managed to capture. Where is the fun in sitting steadily on a treasure chest (sorry for some of the phrases, I´m not a native speaker and these do sound sort of cool in my lenguage :D)?

What I proppose is: Single Fortress shield. If you want to move your home planet, the moment you activate your new FS, the old one goes offline (So still you can move out from the way of solar-system-conquering player). You could of course F-Shield an alien planet you took from someone, but... it will take time to re-populate it, which means a long time with no possibility of building new buildings (or at least that´s what I understand from the streams, please correct me if I´m wrong). And even if you had such patience - is a decent part of your population xenofobic? Bad luck indeed.

Even though F-Shield should probably protect you from ALL hostile actions from others, it shouldn´t protect you from your bad leadership. I don´t know what happens when your citizens´ morale drops too low, but I would guess that reducing mining and production efficiency proportionaly is a way to go.

Please, everyone, be my guest and iterate on these ideas. Or don´t :D. Anyway I will probably come up with more as the time goes.
Has anyone else noticed that first thing you learn when studying foreign languages is swearing?

I for one would like to have the two fortress shields, one for my biggest research planet and the other for my best mining planet (perhaps with moons being the construction sites). And damn it, you started one of my biggest ideas, why did you have to mention moral? That was part of one of my two secret ideas, oh well I guess I'll put that on the list now and the huge intricate system that comes with it but my biggest idea is going to remain a secret. By the way population now affects CP, watch I believe the 2nd newest live stream to see the new system.

As for the ability to infiltrate fortress shields its mainly so that you can't just encompass a prison in a fortress shield and keep it completely protected, and again the larger the population, the better the info but the more likely caught, I must have forgotten to put up that fortress planets are extra guarded and the risks of getting caught on a fortress planet are 125% that of a non-fortress planet with the same population in everything except prison breaks.

Well still, having just one FS would make you specialise more, thus making you more dependent on the universal economy. Moons are going to be habitable (again, if I recall correctly), so you could have main research body on the planet + somewhat less mining sites OR the other way around. That, of course, only if moons count as being inside the shield.

Again, you wouldn´t have to raid the prisons for your imprisoned units, if here was some sort of either timer, that says after how long that unit breaks free (based on level of that unit, maybe on extension of prison facilities (in your case Academies, I would probably use something like modules for the smaller hexagons). this time would have to be reasonable, giving the keeper time to break them/interogate them, so we are speaking somewhere between 20 days for low skilled characters to let´s say 5 days for the toughest.

The other possibility would be a percentual chance (for instance 5% for lv 1 character on undeveloped planet) with minimum of (again, just a random number for now) 0,01%, that the character breaks free at the end of cycle. But this one would be really hardware demanding (imagine 1.000 rolls for breaking free every 30 seconds or so XD).

Anyway, I believe we are free to continue developing these ideas. I don´t know how devs, but I find them interesting to say the least ;) And it is real pleasure to have a decent discussion partner like you, no matter the age (I´m not that older, just heading for my 21 :D).

omg you actually wright a lot.. with the "spys" section you make me come to mind the Electronic warefare in EVE online haha it could be nice to have some sort of unique kind of ships and modules (instead of having guns for example) to "bother" with the scaners and maby eaven the guns or engines of the enemie's ships... dont know if oyur guys already think about that too..

also liked the idea of having more elements in space could be black holes, asteroid fields, forgoten space mines. also could be good to have like pve missions that we can found in deadspace or unexplored solar sistems :)
