So with our new UI in we're back to working on implementing fighters again.
You can see an image we posted on facebook recently of the little guys in action (WIP of course).

Wow, I'd really like to see the game, I submitted the form Nov. 5th, I want to get the taste of testing a developing game, in other words, get the first time feel of beta testing a game. =) Although, I really doubt I'd get accepted, given my history of NEVER being one. I just like to play strategy games in general for the feel of it as well as for the fun, of course I'd get frustrated if I lose but that's the point right? To make you get an emotional struggle to feel the struggles of a general or admiral? Cause that's my belief, and I stick with it. Over all, I've played Sins, Dread Lords II, C&CRA2(Command and Conquer Red Alert 2), C&C3TW(Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars), and UAW:EA(Universe At War: Earth Assault), and they all made really good games and had an excellent feel of the stress an admiral or general takes in when fighting a war. Quite interesting too, I will add. So, I just want to try my first time feel of Beta-Testing.

Don't worry, you've been accepted, we just havn't started that part of the testing phase yet.

I like the scale between the ship and the fighters. It's more realistic and gives the game more credibility, even if it may be difficult to control them. Let's find a way to do that. But then again, have the player be able to zoom very close to objects and ships to even see what it and the fighters look like to justify its size.

You don't actually control fighters like your ships, you deploy them on missions from the ship storing them since they are like a weapon the ship has. Only they operate under different rules than the conventional weapons.

Can you give the fighters specific orders when you deploy them ? like attack weapons systems or sending commando squad to sabotage/capture enemy ship ? or they only serve as Screen against bigger ships and their weapons (like in Warhammer 40k).
